In marriage you share everything. Unfortunately that includes those things you don't want to share. I came down with some type of flu right after our trip to Vegas. Finally four days later I'm finally starting to feel better. But now Jackie is sick. This is not ideal but it's what happens. So, I'm about to head out and pick up a few cans of chicken noodle soup and some sprite. I'm pretty sure that combination is better than antibiotics.
On a brighter note, Jackie and I were featured in USA Today.

I'm sitting in the Milwaukee airport unable to sleep, but likewise unable to function much beyond the smallest mental exertion. The past four days have left me exhausted and desperately seeking the comfort of our own home, and more importantly our own bed. A place where I can find solitude and actually begin to process the many pages of notes and thoughts I've taken down.
I am an introvert. I love people, but being around them constantly exhausts me. So I'll probably spend the next few days recharging.
The entire trip seemed like a whirlwind as I try to think of all we did.
We met some of the best and most influential photographers of our time.
We made new friends.
We laughed with old ones.
We payed way to much for a chicken salad sandwich.. We enjoyed it anyway.
We worshipped God with photographers from all over the world.
We won a few prizes.
We were even interviewed by USA today.
The experience was without a doubt an unforgettable one. We are so thankful for the photographers who were open and transparent with us about how they succeeded and even how they failed. We only hope that we can do the same and share with you all the things that we have learned along our journey.

You may notice that this wedding took place during the summer. It's now winter. Yes, but I thought you could use a little summer sunshine during the long winter months. So I've been saving this. And yes, it's that good. Matt + Kim were amazing to work with. We loved being apart of their wedding, and we had a blast with them. So last week I won a full registration to WPPI {Wedding & Portrait Photographer International} through KISS wedding books {The company that makes the best photo books ever!}
It's not often that Jackie + I get a weekend where we can do whatever we want. Usually we're meeting with clients or out on photo shoots. But not this weekend. So we took full advantage of the opportunity to do... nothing.
Times have changed since our parent's day. I'm very thankful too...I've seen the outfits they thought were cool...
This is just a reminder to all my gentleman friends. Valentines day is coming up. Don't forget. I have some pretty awesome plans, but If I post them here Jackie would find out and that would ruin the surprise.
A couple weeks ago after a fresh snow we met up with Allie + Ryan to do an engagement shoot! These guys are so fun! We can't wait until April to photograph the wedding : ) I'll be honest, this was probably one of the coldest days of the year, the high that day was around 12 degrees. But these guys were amazing and didn't even look cold!
A Blessing in our house is the lack of a TV (gasp, shock, I know) As nerdy as it sounds, During the Super Bowl I was, yes....wait for it... reading a book.
With only two month until our trip to Vanuatu, We're starting to get things in order. It's going to be a very busy two months and filled with all types of craziness; but we are so excited for this opportunity...
