Maine Love: 2nd Anniversary

September 29, 2010

I can't believe 2 years has gone by since I married Cory. On September 7th, Cory and I celebrated our second anniversary. So much has happened since we first exchanged our vows and made our promise to God and to each other.
We have had the privilege to visit Mexico 3 times for pleasure, 2 countries for missions, and various other little adventures and trips with each other and family all within the 2 years of marriage. If you haven't gathered this yet, we love to travel. It is truly a passion we share together. We are always planning how we would run away and never look back. ( don't worry it probably won't happen....maybe.)
So we settled for a little escape to Maine. We were planning this trip for awhile. I have always wanted to stay in a little bed & breakfast or cottage of the coast of Maine and watch the sailboats and see the New England Coast in late summer/early fall. Well, with wedding season being wonderfully busy and our anniversary falling right in the crazy middle of it all, it really wasn't looking to promising to go at all, let alone over our anniversary.
Well, I accidentally found out that Cory booked a flight to Maine. However, I did not know where we were going in Maine or any other details. But knowing how Cory accidentally always fails at surprising me ( with the exception of his proposal) I continued to act like I did not know; until the night before. We stayed downtown at the Hyatt hotel and enjoyed an evening out with each other. I told him I knew, and he had a funny feeling all along that I might of. Let me assure you, the rest was truly a surprise. We flew in to Portland, got a rental ( which they upgraded us!) and we were out on the road for about an hour and half which took us to Booth Bay Harbor. Gorgeous, quaint, charming, relaxing. Only a few adjectives to describe this little coastal town. We had 3 days of relaxing and exploring this sweet little town. Cory picked the best bed & breakfast with the best view in Booth Bay.
We fell in love with each other more than ever and we did it while falling in love with Maine.
Thank you Cory for the wonderful getaway and most of all the best 2 years of my life thus far! I love you more than I did on September 7th, 2008 and I love God more because of you. Thank you and can't wait to see where else God will lead us.

eat.drink.be married: Derrick + Anna

September 2, 2010

We had such a wonderful time photographing Derrick & Anna's wedding at the Indiana Roof Ballroom. Derrick & Anna chose to go for the "first look" and get all the wedding pictures done beforehand. This made the day go by so much smoother and I feel that everyone seemed more relaxed after the ceremony.
The day was perfect and we loved going around downtown and getting some great shots and we loved getting to photograph at such a beautiful venue.
Thanks Anna & Derrick for allowing us be a part of your day. You two are so much fun to be around and you had such a beautiful wedding!
