Evergreens and Frostbite

December 22, 2010

The first week in December means one thing for us....Hunting Season! No, not for furry little woodland creatures, Christmas Trees!
When Jackie and I got married, we decided that we wanted to start some of our own traditions, and one of those traditions would be going to a christmas tree farm to get our tree (fake trees are for wussies). So this year was our third year getting a tree from Watt's Christmas Tree Farm.
The snow has just fallen, obviously making it picture perfect (thus some of you will notice one of the pictures being our Christmas card) Unfortunately, Dressing for photos meant I wan't dressed for traipsing through 4 inches of snow for two hours. Why did it take 2 hours? Because Jackie and I are the two most indecisive people in the world and trying to pick one tree out of a few thousand on a 100 acre farm is like telling a fat kid to pick only one flavor of ice cream at Coldstone, no offense to fat kids, I was one so I feel your pain.
Anyway, two hours and many frozen digits later we found the perfect tree! A few photos from our adventure:
