Katy+David: Indianapolis Wedding

February 10, 2010

The last weekend in January we photographed a beautiful, winter themed wedding at St. Christopher's Episcopal Church in Carmel, IN. This was the first wedding at the newly built church and we were honored to be the first photographers to capture a wedding at the church! Aside from the really cold weather, the day was beautiful, sunny, and just enough snow covered the ground! The bridal party was great and braved the cold weather to get some awesome photos!

I ( Jackie) knew Katy from college and met her at the school where I did my student teaching, so it was sweet to be able to see her get married and be there to photograph her day!

We started the day at Aveda in Castleton Mall to get shots of the ladies getting ready, and from there we headed to the church. I really enjoyed seeing Katy & David's private moment before the ceremony! I also wanted to note that David gave Katy a beautiful necklace for her wedding gift. Whats even more sweet about it, is that it has a story! The diamond in the necklace was from Katy's grandmothers engagement ring! I love stuff like that!

Everything went perfect, and they had a gorgeous reception at Purgatory Golf Course in Noblesville, IN. One of the things we love about our job is all the cakes we get to try. This cake was by far the best wedding cake we have ever tasted!  So, if you're in the market for a wedding cake, please check out Heavenly Sweets.

We are so happy for Katy and David, and wish them all the best!
